Jan 24, 2010 – Major Safety Recalls
Save yourself alot of hassle - don't buy a Stork Craft crib. My son is a year old and there have been TWO major safely recalls this year. The brackets that hold the mattress board had to be replaced earlier this year and now the cheap plastic supports that hold the sliding side in place need to be replaced. These have BOTH been major safety issues where children have died, so on two occasions, I've had to stop using my crib until the repair kit arrives. Right now, I can't even order the second repair kit, they are so flooded with calls right now that I can't get to the website or the phone line (the second recall was on CNN on the 23rd). The first repair kit took two months to arrive.
